T1 W8 Journal Writing : Reading

The school gets the pupils to read every morning is because they wanted to help us improve our knowledge. I like it because so that i have time to read my book. Yes, i like reading, because some of the book is interesting. I like to read mystery , ghost and detective story. Yes it will help me because it help me improve my English. I think teacher must know more of the student like he/she like what book then you will suggest them to borrow books from the library because have their interesting book in the library. The author name is Jeanure i like to read this book is because is easy to read can understand the meaning and can tell us why they "Gone Missing'' i am curious to know why they gone missing so i like this book.

Activities Outside School

Well i never involved any activities outside school from Monday to Sunday. I never involved any activities so i don't know. I think it not so necessary for me because i think study is the important. I never involved any of the activities but if i got join it will not affect my school work/studies. If i join too many of the activities i will felt stress. I think it ok to join outside school activities, just don't join too much activities, if join too much activities it will stress and something will affect our study.

Alhambra Palace - Granada - Spain

The Alhambra was a palace, a citadel, a fortress and home of the Nasrid Sultans, high government officials, servants of the court and elite soldiers of the Nasrid Dynasty (1238-1492), the last Islamic sultanate in the lberian Peninsula. Together with the Mezquita (Great Mosque) of Cordoba, the Alhambra is one of the most widely known of all Islamic works of art.

The Nasrid Sultans chose as the site for their court the Sabika hill, one of the foothills of Sierra Nevada on the plain of Granada, which constituted an excellent site from which to keep watch over the capital of their kingdom and the surrounding area. From the beginning of the XIII century, the small older buildings, mainly watchtowers, some of which dated back to before the XI century, gradually grew into a huge walled site which clearly intended to be both palace and court.

Within this gradual change, different stages of development, grandeur and decadence can clearly be seen through the various works of art and buildings erected over the years. The Alhambra was not a single static construction, built at a specific date, but rather the result of an evolution, successive reforms and extensions.

Algebra---->Muhammad ibn Musa Al-Khwarizmi

Al-Khwarizmi introduces the main topic of this first section of his book, namely the solution of equations. His equations are linear or quadratic and are composed of units, roots and squares. For example, to al-Khwarizmi a unit was a number, a root was x, and a square was x2. However, although we shall use the now familiar algebraic notation in this article to help the reader understand the notions, Al-Khwarizmi's mathematics is done entirely in words with no symbols being used.
He first reduces an equation (linear or quadratic) to one of six standard forms:
1. Squares equal to roots.

2. Squares equal to numbers

.3. Roots equal to numbers.

4. Squares and roots equal to numbers; e.g. x2 + 10 x = 39.

5. Squares and numbers equal to roots; e.g. x2 + 21 = 10 x.6. Roots and numbers equal to squares; e.g. 3 x + 4 = x2.

The reduction is carried out using the two operations of al-jabr and al-muqabala. Here "al-jabr" means "completion" and is the process of removing negative terms from an equation. For example, using one of al-Khwarizmi's own examples, "al-jabr" transforms x2 = 40 x - 4 x2 into 5 x2 = 40 x. The term "al-muqabala" means "balancing" and is the process of reducing positive terms of the same power when they occur on both sides of an equation. For example, two applications of "al-muqabala" reduces 50 + 3 x + x2 = 29 + 10 x to 21 + x2 = 7 x (one application to deal with the numbers and a second to deal with the roots).

T1W5 Journal Writing : Target Setting

The purpose of setting targets for the various subjects is because so that we can aim the mark. Yes, is useful because so that we know that we wanted to aim what mark. I just want all subject pass. Yes, i have a plan, i will read more books, don't play too much computer games. Usually my parent did not help me much because they only know chinese so they help me in chinese. I will read more book, if something i don't know how to do, i will tell my teacher or my friend to help me. The teacher or school can have tuition to help us achieve the targets.
